Mary Stubblefield

Mary Louise Stubblefield, 89, died Saturday morning at 10:37 a.m. at Life Care Center in La Center.

Mary was a member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Stubblefield of La Center and Alicia Scott and her husband, Randy, of La Center; one brother, Donald Neftzger of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Edith McDaniel of Brookport, Ill., and Jean Giltner of Unionville, Ill.; one grandson, Matt Scott of La Center; two stepgrandchildren, Chad Scott of Wickliffe and Holly Allen of La Center; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Mason Allen, Jackson Allen, Addie Allen, Cameron Scott, Cayden Scott and Jack Dwyer.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Stubblefield; two sisters, Mabel Denson and Mildred Brannum; one brother, Tyra Neftzger; and her parents, George and Artie Neftzger.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Bromley officiating. Interment will follow at Maplelawn Cemetery.

Visitation was held Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center.
