Services for Olivia Mae Pickett, 8-year-old daughter of Charles O. Pickett Jr. and Tera Jo Ann Wring, both of Paducah, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Raynarldo Henderson and Charles Beasley officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
She died at 4:05 a.m. EST Sunday at the University of North Carolina Pediatrics Center.
She was a third-grade student at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School and attended Gospel Mission Worship Center and New Covenant Church.
Besides her parents, she is survived by one sister, LaToria Williams of Atlanta; her grandparents, Charles "Chuck" and Jo Ann Blair Wring of Reidland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles O. Pickett Sr. and Agatha V. Smith.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Olivia Mae Pickett Scholarship Fund, c/o Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School, 2501 Marshall Drive, Paducah, KY 42003.
