Patricia Hamm Grimes went to be with the Lord at 11:20 a.m. on July 4, 2008. She died peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and provided a happy and welcoming home to all. Her faith in Jesus was an important part of her life as well.
She was a homemaker and a member of Southland Baptist Temple.
Surviving are one daughter, Marcia Pittman and husband Calvin of West Paducah; four sons, Joey Hamm and wife Missy of West Paducah, Richard and wife Sherry of Kevil, Michael Hamm and Dennis Hines, both of Paducah. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Andrea, Ricky, Phillip, Drew, Hannah, Bailey, Paxton, Will and Catherine and two brothers, Glenn Hobbs and Ronnie Hobbs, both of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Allard and Mary Edna Clymentine Hobbs, her first husband, James E. Hamm, her second husband, Billy Joe Grimes, granddaughter, Renee Smith, brother, Ewing Hobbs and sister, Lovette Clark.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Harold Council and the Rev. Gary Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008.
She will be missed dearly by all whose lives she touched. We find comfort in knowing that we shall see her again.
The family sends their profound love and thanks to all her doctors and Lourdes Hospice.
