Paul Bell Sr.

Paul Bell, Sr., age 74, of Paducah, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, 10:13 a.m., at Baptist Health of Paducah.

Paul attended the former Lincoln High School and was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher.  He retired after 30 years of service as a heavy equipment operator with the Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of Union Local 181.

He is survived by two sons, Paul (Tanashea) Bell, Jr. of Paducah and Juan (Dunia) Bell of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Crystal (Alfredro) Thompson of Paducah; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Joe Bell and James E.(Stella) Bell, Sr., all of Paducah; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a very special friend, Thelma Leavell, other special friends including, John Watson, Jimmy Redfern, Eddie "Jelly Belly" Canada, Curt Derington, Jack Reece, L. G. Jones and Joe Jones.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lessie Mae Johnson Bell, his parents, Clarence Bell and Birdie Lucille Mitchell Bell; three brothers, Ellis Bell, Wilbert Bell and Clarence Bell, Jr. and one infant sister.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at the Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bennie Heady and Rev. James L. Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Due to state mandated Covid-19 restrictions, attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain a social distance of six feet at all times.
