Peggy Champion

Mrs. Peggy Champion, age 81, of Paducah went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:09 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, from the Lourdes hospital.

Mrs. Champion was a native of Kevil, Ky., and worked for Lourdes hospital as a L.P.N. She also worked at the Holman House Restaurant. She was a member of the Southland Baptist Temple.

Surviving are her three children, Tom Champion of Baltimore, Maryland, Lisa Thompson and husband Tim of Paducah, and Gary (CB) Champion and wife Karla of Reidland; one sister, Lena Flowers of Kevil, Ky.; five grandchildren, Nathandel (Nick) Champion, James Champion, Cory Thompson, Caleb Thompson and Alex Champion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Champion; two brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Council, Rev. Jimmy Franks and Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home.
