Rita Jane Powell, 53, of Paducah passed away at 12:50 PM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Powell was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Powell of Paducah; daughter, Sarita Kay Powell of Paducah; two brothers, Ray Riley and Ervin Riley both of Paducah; sister, Marilyn K. Hines of Paducah; two grandchildren, Logan Powell, Jayme Rich; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson Riley and Ola Mae Riley; son, Jamie Lawson Powell; brother, Gerald Riley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery of Paducah.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
