Robert "Bobby" Lee Adams, 74, of Paducah died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Lourdes hospital.
He was a native of Paducah and was a Chef for Stacey's Restaurant and retired from the Crounse Corporation. Bobby was of the Baptist faith. He attended Hallelujah Fellowship Center. He was a Duke of Paducah and a Kentucky Colonel. He served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Sue Amis Adams; one son, Jeffrey Lynn Adams and daughter-in-law Renee Lawler Adams of Russellville; one grandson, Troy Robert Adams of Russellville; sister-in-law Norma Reams of Stillwater, Ala.; brothers-in-law Thomas Amis of Paducah and Don Amis of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Fannie Rucker; foster parents, Odell and Ada Adams; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Cynthia Amis.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Leland Hayden officiating. Entombment, with military rites, will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
