Robert "Bob" Warren Langston, 85, of Paducah, Ky., passed into his eternal life on Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a homebound member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Langston and Anna Schrader Langston; a stepmother, Gertrude Johnson Langston; and his brother, James F. Langston of Alexandria, Va.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene Kallstrom Langston; a son, David Langston (Ellen) of Reno, Nev.; and daughter, Diane Langston-Layman (Ed) of Louisville.
Bob was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, veteran of WWII as a radio operator in the 91st Bomb Group (H) of the United States Army Air Forces, and was retired from Union Carbide as an electrical engineer.
Many knew him as an avid Native American artifact collector and woodcrafter for most of his life in Paducah.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Roth Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Roth Funeral Chapel in Paducah. Interment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Pastor Corey Aker will preside and Pastor Paul Donner will assist in the service.
