Rosa Nell Caldwell, surrounded by her family, transitioned to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 10:00 p.m., from the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah, Kentucky. Rosa Nell Caldwell was born in Paducah, Kentucky on January 11, 1931, to the late Tibzell Hill, Sr. and Ruby Lee Crossland Hill.
Rosa Nell gave her life to Christ at a young age. She was a devoted member to her church, Second Cumberland Presbyterian Church which was later renamed Enoch Chapel. Working as a deaconess, usher, Sunday School teacher, and Mother of the Church were a few of the positions she served in the church.
Rosa Nell was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School and was a graduate of West Kentucky Vocational School where she received her certification as a licensed cosmetologist. She was a great homemaker and served as a professional housekeeper for many families in the Paducah area.
Rosa Nell dearly loved her family. She was most happy spending time with her loved ones and preparing Sunday dinners for them to consume after church services. Rosa Nell was kind-hearted and never judged anyone. When she had free time, she would relax and watch her favorite shows on the Hallmark Channel.
Rosa Nell was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Caldwell, one daughter, Fredricka Caldwell, her brother, James Larry Hill, Sr. and her son-in-law, Robert Rouse, Jr.
She leaves to meet her in Heaven: Four Daughters, Rosalind Caldwell, Lydia Hill, Betty Hill, and Daphne Hill, All of Paducah, KY; Two Sons, Mark Johnson and Anthony Hill, Both of Paducah, KY; Two Brothers, Tibzell Hill, Jr. and Harold Hill, Both of Paducah, KY; One Sister, Earnestine Carter, Paducah, KY; Twenty-three Grandchildren; Thirty-three Great-Grandchildren; Eight Great Great-Grandchildren; Two Sisters-In-Law, Nina Bell Hill and Willa Mae Freeman, Both of Paducah, KY; A Host of Cousins and Her Extended Family, Friends, and children From Anderson Court.
Rosa Nell Caldwell will be still loved and greatly missed by her family and all of whom she may have come in contact.
