Services for Roy E. Yancy, 85, of Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roth Funeral Chapel in Paducah. The Rev. Merle Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Yancy died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church for 31 years. He retired from TVA in 1983, after 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Idaho during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Conway Yancy, of Paducah; two sons, Steve Martin Yancy, of Louisville and Nathan Lee Yancy, of Atlanta; and two granddaughters, Emily Yancy, of Birmingham, Ala. and Laura Yancy of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by one son, Roy Michael Yancy; one brother; two half-brothers; and two half-sisters. His parents were Harold L. and Rubye Williams Yancy.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Roth Funeral Chapel.
