Ruby Harned

Services for Ruby Nell Harned, 83, of Paducah will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Thomas Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Harned died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Calvert City.

She was a retired cafeteria manager from Paducah Public Schools and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Palma.

Survivors include two sons, Dewayne Harned and Mark Harned, both of Paducah; three daughters, Brenda Holt of Possum Trot, Karan Qualls of Paducah and Ronda Beckenbaugh of Benton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Harned; two sisters; and one brother. Her parents were Roy Marcus Hicks and Gertrude Griffith Hicks.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
