Sue Dowd Ward, 91, of Statham, GA formerly of Paducah died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice in Athens.
Ms. Ward was a homemaker and of Catholic faith.
Surviving are three children, Steve Ward of Savannah, GA David Ward of Athens, GA, Karen Simmons of Jefferson, GA and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Ward Sr; her parents, George M. Dowd and Amy Dowd; and one son, Thomas "Tommy" Ward.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating.
LIndsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
