Theola Jenkins

Theola A. Jenkins, 72, of Paducah died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday at Medco Center of Paducah.

Ms. Jenkins was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. She was also a member of the Interdenominational Union Choir, the Monday Night Pin Girls, Wednesday night's Pacesetters and Mixed Bowling Leagues.

She was preceded in death by three brothers. Her parents were Theoplish Stevens and Effie Mae Grundy Stevens.

She is survived by her husband, Amos Jenkins Jr.; her son, James Horton of Rockford, Ill.; her daughter, Ella Horton of Rockford; two brothers, James Stevens of Richmond, Ind., and Edward Lee Stevens of Paducah; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Draw officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah. Friends may call after noon Saturday at the church. Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
