Virginia L. McQuigg

Virginia L. McQuigg, formerly of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her residence in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

A life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Virginia retired from AT&T’s Paducah office after completing 30 years of service.  She was a 51 year member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah and enjoyed working in the Tuesday Morning Outreach Center while supporting the church’s television ministry.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Glen McQuigg and his wife, Gail of Punta Gorda, Florida and Steve McQuigg and his wife, Lisa of Fort Mill, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Kristin Hayes and her husband, Graham of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Kara Hayes and Grayson Hayes; a brother, Norris Lindsey and his wife, Doris of Carmi, Illinois; three nieces, Cara Lindsey of Carmi, Illinois, Teresa (Keith) Massey of Princeton, Kentucky and Carla (Greg) Kelley of Madisonville, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmie” McQuigg and a sister, Reba Stinnett.  Her parents were, Charles Gresham Lindsey and Virgie Edmonson Lindsey.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Tucker and Mariann Lankton officiating.  

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
