Walter H. "Tood" Ross Jr., 94, of Paducah passed away at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Ross was a member of West End Baptist Church in Paducah. He was a retired operating engineer and a member of Local No. 181. He was a Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky and a member of F&AM of Jerusalem of Henderson. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Madisonville.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Kline of Paducah, Linda Lineback of Evansville, Ind., and Carolyn Albert of Lewiston, Maine; one sister, Francele Theis of Henderson; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Horton Ross; his parents, Walter H. Ross Sr. and Katie Whitehouse Ross; two sons, Sonny Ross and Bobby Ross; a daughter, Juanita Colson; and one brother.
Graveside services for Walter H. Ross Jr. will be held at 1 p.m. today, June 12, 2009, at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. A Masonic Rites ceremony will be held at the graveside.
Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
