Obituary for Frances Goodman Rouse
Services for Frances Evelyn (Goodman) Rouse, 90, of Paducah, KY will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Karen Husby and AiM. John A. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Rouse passed away at 9:08 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Rouse was a life-long member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She graduated from Augusta Tilghman High School in 1942 and was employed 30 years by the Kentucky State Department of Economic Security as an Employment Interviewer. She was a member of the International Assoc. of Personnel in Employment Security; the Ten-Ure Club of Kentucky and the Kentucky Public Retirees. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a Duchess of Paducah.
Surviving is one son, William R. Rouse and his wife Alice of Murray, KY; three brothers, Ervin Goodman and James Goodman of Paducah, KY and David Goodman of Carmichael, CA; four grandchildren, Michele Jenkins of Greenfield, N.C., Heather Anne Calloway of Jacksonville, FL, Justin R. Rouse of Paducah, KY and Jason E. Rouse of Nashville, TN; two great grandchildren, Lauren Jenkins and Nathan Jenkins of Greenfield, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elmore S. "Stormy" Rouse; daughter Sondra L. Shearouse; sister, Mary Carpenter and two brothers, Dennis and Ronald Goodman. Her parents were Marguerite Beyer Goodman and Ervin I. Goodman.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
