William Baumer

William Frank Baumer Sr., 86, died Monday at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis IL.

He was born in Paducah on December 18, 29127, to the late Henry Herman Baumer Sr., and Bernice Aline Tatum Baumer. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Past Missouri District Treasurer of the Lutheran Layman's League and Social Club.

An area farmer, he was a past Director at Southern States Cooperative, He was also a Master Sergeant in the United Stats Army, serving in the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Doris Elizabeth Zoller Baumer; four sons William Frank Baumer Jr., o Paducah, David Scott Baumer and wife TRicia of Paducah, Robert Allan Baumer and wife Jennifer of Memphis, Tenn., and Mark Andrew Baumer and wife Jennifer of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Ern Baumer Hudson, Michael Baumer, Alan Baumer, Logan Baumer, Landon Baumer, Josia Baumer, and Gavin Baumer; two great-grandchildren, Savannah Baumer and Lincoln Baumer; and his brother, Paul Frederick Baumer of Woodland, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Jane Baumer Walter; and a brother, Henry Baumer Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
