William Elwood Hunt, 75, of Paducah passed away at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Lourdes hospital.
He was a retired driver for Texaco Oil Company, and was also a driver for Paducah Area Transit. Mr. Hunt had owned Hunt's CB Radios, Echo Electronics, and Uncle Tex's BBQ. He was a dispatcher for the Kentucky State Police, and was a McCracken County Jailer and a Deputy Sheriff.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Loe Hunt of Paducah; two daughters, JoAnn Prather and husband Ray of Somerset, Ky., and Tricia Beine of Calvert City; one sister, Sharon Channell and husband Joe of Paducah; one brother, Dwight "Ike" Hunt and wife Rhonda of Paducah; four grandchildren, Trae Prather, Brandi Prather Tucker, Benjamin Beine, Saralyn Beine; and two grandchildren, Bennett Tucker and Bryce Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Ray Hunt and Emma Dallas Hunt; and one infant sister.
Funeral services for Mr. Hunt will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January, 27, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Hunt will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral home of Paducah.
